Glory Ministries India (GMI) is an Indian based non-profit organization caring for and serving disabled, orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children in Southern India. It was founded and is being directed by Pastor Rambabu, who has devoted his life to serving the ignored and neglected people of India.

Christmas Love Feast

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

Love and Greetings to you in the most worthy and fair name of our soon to return Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I hope all is fine with you and you are busy with your ministry. Please be assured that we lift up you, your family and your ministry in prayer before God daily. As regards to myself, the Lord’s work is going well and He is blessing us abundantly.

This Christmas, we would like to bless the children, widows, co-pastors, church elders and the elderly in our region with a Christmas Love Feast of clothes, Christmas gifts, delicious food, and other things to meet their needs during this season of love and the celebration of Christ’s birth. By giving, we spread the love of Jesus and bless others. In turn, we are blessed by seeing the joy and happiness in the faces of those we help.

In addition to our Christmas Love Feast, which we are planning to celebrate on December 25, 2011, we are also planning to visit some rural villages and give the poor in the village new clothes and food. We believe this will be a blessing to those in the villages and will help us to spread more joy and happiness during this most blessed Christmas season. Please pray for these Christmas blessings and if you are able, give us a helping hand in providing them. We can accept your donations to the Christmas Love Feast through our website.

Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for the Love Feast that we would be able to reach as many people as possible with the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Pray also that money and donations to provide for the poor would be forthcoming. We appreciate any support you can provide and will put it to good use.

Specifically, we serve the orphan children among the tribal and most backward areas of India — where the people are illiterate and very poor. We have been serving them for more than 5 years. We help them by distributing food, clothes, medicine and other necessities, and by running awareness camps. We also help make sure that poor children get an education by providing them with free tuition, clothes, shoes, and study materials.

We currently care for 25 children, and 2 handicapped people. We are also trying to find a way to take care of 20 HIV positive children we recently discovered in our travels to the villages. Please help us make a way for them!

The main reasons we care for these southern tribal children are:

1. There are no orphanages in Southern India, unlike Northern India, which has many.
2. The terrorist groups are attracting these orphan youths by offering lump sums of money. They then take them into the jungle to give them training and teach them to be antisocial.
3. The mafia groups also attract these children and use them for drug trafficking. Almost 30% of boys, girls and village people are becoming the victims of drugs like opium, ganja, cocaine, and some local plants and glues to make them addicts.

The younger generations are the ones most affected, so we view this as a most serious issue, and have made it our goal to save the orphan children from these antisocial elements. After our personal investigation and inspection, we have decided to take more orphan children from these tribal villages. Now, we put them in good schools and give them special help with their studies. These children are doing well now and it makes us very happy. This is the first time in India that the tribal orphan children are studying in leading schools and scoring good marks. Please pray for us as we continue in these endeavors.

Recent Flooding

In our area of India, floods have killed many people and left many more homeless. We have just posted recent pictures of the flooding in our gallery. Many people have no food, no clothes, and no way to support themselves. When I saw them, my heart was filled with sorrow — these people need our help! We want to distribute food and blankets to help them, but we need your support.

How can you help? First, we ask for your prayers. Then, if you are able, we ask for donations to distribute blankets. Each blanket is $4. We would like to distribute at least 100 of them as soon as possible. If we receive more support, we will distribute more blankets. You can use the Donate button on our Donations page to send your donations directly to our PayPal account.

This is all done in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and for His glory. He is our provider. Even if you cannot help with a donation, please remember those affected in your prayers. Thank you for your prayers and willingness to help those in need in India.
